Who we are

Jannatak (جنتك) provides Islamic educational content and free personal tools at jannatak.com and tools.jannatak.com (together, “the service”). This policy explains what information the service collects, why, and the choices you have. For any privacy question, write to admin@jannatak.com.

What we collect

InformationWhy
Email addressTo sign you in (by an emailed link or code, or by Google sign-in) and to contact competition winners.
Display nameShown on your account and, if you take quizzes, on the public leaderboard. You choose it and can change it at any time.
From Google sign-in (if you use it)Only your name and email address, used as above. We do not access your Google contacts, files, mail or any other Google data.
What you record in the toolsYour Quran memorization levels and review ticks, goals and habits, quiz answers and scores, and similar entries — so the tools can work and remember your progress.
Finance tool entriesEncrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know before they are stored. We cannot read them, and we cannot recover them if you lose the passphrase.
Children’s and student profilesA parent or teacher may create a profile for a child with a first name only (no email) and track their progress. A child’s device can be linked to that profile without an email address.
Technical dataBasic request information (such as IP address and browser type) is processed by our hosting providers to deliver and protect the service. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

We do not sell your information, show advertising, or use your information for profiling.

What others can see

Service providers

We rely on a few providers to run the service: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google (optional Google sign-in, and web fonts), and YouTube (embedded story videos, loaded in privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play). They process information only to provide their services to us.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s storage only to keep you signed in and to remember your settings (such as light or dark theme). No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

The service is designed to be used by families and Quran circles. Children take part through a profile created and managed by a parent or teacher, which holds a first name and learning progress only. We do not knowingly collect a child’s email address or other contact details. A parent or teacher can remove a child’s profile at any time, and can ask us to delete all of its data.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is in use. You can change your display name at any time, and remove child profiles and connections yourself. To delete your account and all associated data, email admin@jannatak.com from the address you sign in with; we will complete it within 30 days.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules ensure each person can only read and change their own data, or data they have been given access to. Finance entries are additionally encrypted on your device.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be announced on the service.
